Larceny
Manassas City police officers are investigating a larceny that occurred on Jan. 9, 2012, at the Iron Horse Antiques store, located at 9200 Prescott Avenue. The store manager advised officers that between 10:30 a.m. and noon., a white male walked into the store and browsed around for a while. The male then unscrewed the hinges off a jewelry case and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry. The male was captured on video surveillance committing the offense.
Hit & Run
Manassas City police officers are investigating a Hit & Run incident that occurred on Jan. 9, 2012, at approximately 6:50 p.m., in the intersection of Godwin Drive and University Blvd.
Witnesses told officers that they observed the driver of a Nissan Altima, displaying Virginia license tag number XFB-6142, disregard a stop light, causing the vehicle to collide with a Ford Escape. The driver of the offending vehicle fled the area on foot, leaving the car at the scene. He was described as a young Hispanic male with short hair, wearing a light colored shirt and white undershirt. The victim’s vehicle sustained approximately $10,000 in damages, stemming from the accident.
Embezzlement
During the early morning hours of July 25, 2011, Manassas City police investigators executed a search warrant at 475 Potomac Run Rd in Stafford County, VA, regarding a month-long embezzlement investigation. Numerous items were removed from the residence, stemming from the search warrant.
Holly Noel Cooke, 36, of 475 Potomac Run Rd, Stafford, VA, was identified as the suspect, through investigation and interviews. Nine Grand Jury indictments against Cooke were obtained on Jan. 3, 2012, for Embezzlement. On Jan. 13, 2012, Holley Cooke was arrested by the Stafford County Sherriff’s Office. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail, on a $1,000 bond.
