Malicious Wounding
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating an assault which occurred in the parking lot of the “Bowl America,” 9000 Mathis Avenue, at approximately 10:50PM Friday, November 30.  The assault allegedly began when two adult men (victims) confronted a group of approximately eight adult men (suspects) in the parking lot for yelling at a female acquaintance.  One victim was knocked unconscious and another sustained injuries to his face. Both victims were transported to local hospitals and treated for non-life threatening injuries.  The suspects fled the scene prior to police being called.  The investigation is ongoing.

Larceny – Arrest
The Manassas City Police Department investigated a larceny at “Shoppers,” 9540 Liberia Avenue, at approximately 7:00PM Wednesday, November 28.  A resident was shopping in the grocery store when the suspect stole her wallet out of her purse, which was in her shopping cart, and fled the store.  Ronald Thomas Dempsey, 26, of 8110 Leland Road, Manassas (20111), was identified as the suspect and later found on the 8400 block of Quarry Road.  He was arrested, charged with Grand Larceny, and held at the ADC pending a January 8 court appearance.  The wallet was recovered.

Stolen Automobile – Recovered
Virginia State Police recovered the below-listed vehicle at the rest-stop on I-66 this morning.  It was unoccupied.  Evidence was collected and the investigation is ongoing.
From October 30 Crime Report: The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the theft of a minivan from the 9200 block of Taney Road.  The owner reported to police that the vehicle was stolen at approximately 6:20PM on Tuesday, November 27.  The owner had gone outside to “warm up” the minivan.  He left it unlocked and running and went back inside his residence for a few minutes.  When he came back out, the vehicle was gone.  The stolen vehicle is a maroon, 2000 Nissan Quest minivan.
