Manassas City Police Beat 11/2/11

Home Invasion Arrest
On Nov. 1, 2011, Manassas City Police Officers arrested a female subject in connection with a Home Invasion that occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 26, 2011, in the 8900 block of Wood Drift Circle.

Michelle Clark, 49, (no fixed address) was placed under arrest and charged with Robbery and Abduction. She was held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center with no bond. Her court date was set for Nov.29, 2011. This is still an ongoing investigation.

In the initial police department report, the victim advised officers that he answered a knock at his door when a female and two male subjects forced themselves into the residence. According to the victim, the female rifled through the apartment while one male subject restrained him and the other male acted as a lookout. The female was described as black, 40-50 years old and the two male suspects were described as black, 50-60 years old. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the residence at the time of the incident. The suspects were last seen leaving in a silver Mercedes vehicle.

Sexual Assault Arrest
On Oct. 29, 2011, Manassas City police officers responded to a residence in the 9200 block of Lee Avenue, in regards to a sexual assault involving a minor. Upon their arrival, family members advised officers that Adan Gutierrez, 36, a family acquaintance, had entered the residence at approximately 4:10 a.m, laid down in the victim’s bed and touched her inappropriately.

Gutierrez, of 9273 Taney Road, did not have permission to be inside the residence, nor is it known how he gained entry. The investigation concluded with warrants being obtained on Gutierrez for Burglary and Sexual Battery.

On Nov. 2, 2011, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Gutierrez turned himself into the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. He is currently being held with no bond and will see the judge this morning.
