Juvenile Shoe Thieves Arrested
The Manassas City Police Department arrested four Manassas juvenile males in connection with the theft of expensive basketball shoes from four different victims in different incidents.  Between August 22 and 26, 2012, the juveniles contacted the victims on Facebook.  The victims had posted on Facebook that they were selling expensive basketball shoes, such as “Jordans.”  The juveniles arranged to meet the victims in Manassas.  When they met, they stole the shoes from the victims.  In one incident, a victim was assaulted, making that incident a robbery.

As a result of the investigation, two juveniles were charged with Robbery, Malicious Wounding and Grand Larceny.  A third juvenile was charged with Robbery.  A fourth juvenile was charged with two counts of Grand Larceny.  One of the juveniles has already pleaded “no contest” to the charges of Robbery and Grand Larceny in Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court.  The others have been arraigned and are awaiting trial in J&DRDC.

Trailer Vandalized
Manassas City Police Department is investigating the vandalism of a trailer parked on the 8500 block of Sherman Court. A resident reported to police that the tires of the trailer were punctured between 11:00PM Wednesday, October 24 and 10:00AM Thursday, October 25.

Larceny from Autos
Manassas City Police Department is investigating the larceny of items from two cars on the 8900 block of Weir Street.  A resident reported to police that the larcenies occurred between 11:30PM Wednesday, October 24 and 7:10AM Thursday, October 25.  There was no evidence of forced entry and the cars may have been left unlocked.  An EZ-Pass, Blue-Tooth, change and a phone charger were reported missing.

Truck Vandalized
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the vandalism of a pick-up truck parked on the 8400 block of Plantation Lane.  A resident reported to police that his truck’s passenger side door lock was damaged in an apparent attempt to break into the truck.  An air compressor and other tools were visible on the back seat of the truck.  The vehicle alarm was activated, entry was not gained and nothing was stolen.  The incident occurred at approximately 2:00AM Thursday, October 25.
