Burglaries
Manassas City Police are investigating two separate burglary incidents that occurred within the past two days.
The first burglary occurred between 12: p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2011, in the 9200 block of Greengate Court. The victim arrived home to find that someone had entered his residence by forcing open a living room window. The offender(s) made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers recovered property that was discarded by the suspect(s), at the scene.
The second burglary occurred between 10:15 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. on October 13, 2011, in the 9000 block of Centreville Road. The victim arrived home to find that someone had entered her residence through an unlocked window. The offender(s) made off with jewelry and an undisclosed amount of money.
Both of these investigations are ongoing.
Stolen Vehicle
Manassas City Police are investigating the theft of a 2006 BMW vehicle from Stafford Auto Sales, located at 8710 Kinchloe Drive.
On Oct. 6, 2011, at approximately 3 p.m., a black male and a black female arrived at the establishment in a grey Chevrolet four-door vehicle and asked to see the BMW car. Later in the evening, surveillance cameras captured the male subject driving off in the vehicle without the business’ consent.
The male subject was described as being approximately 30-35 years old, 5’8” tall, and 150 pounds. The female subject was described as being approximately 30-35 years old, 5’9” tall and 140 pounds. The surveillance tapes will be turned over to police as soon as possible. The stolen vehicle was valued at over $31,000.
This is an ongoing investigation.
