Manassas City manager calls volunteers “truly a treasure”

At the City of Manassas’ 24th Annual Volunteer Recognition Reception that was held April 27, City Manager Patrick Pate told 536 company and individual volunteers that “Volunteers are truly a treasure in this community.”

Recognized as “Outstanding Volunteers for 2016/17” were Elaine Bagshaw, Manassas City Police Department Volunteer; Julie Cochran, Citizens Advisory Committee on Solid Waste; Brandon Cox, Manassas Volunteer Fire Company; John Gregory, Economic Development Authority; Dr. Thomas Grizzard, Utility Commission; John Morris, Neighborhood Services/Parks; Judy Schornick, Manassas Museum; Ivan & Luiz Soto, Neighborhood Services/Neighborhoods; and Suzanne Van Dyke, Adopt A Street and Recycling.

Names of all the volunteers honored may be found on pages 6-7 of the May 12 edition of the Manassas Observer.
