Man held without bond, charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On August 20 at 8:35PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 17300 Hot Springs Way in Dumfries (22172) to investigate a domestic assault.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, reported to police that she and a family member, identified as the accused, were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated.During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and attempted to cut the victim. The victim was able to avoid being cut before the accused grabbed her neck. Eventually the parties separated, and the accused left the residence.

The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jesus Antonio PEREZ, was arrested.
