Man confronted with baseball bat in Dumfries; four youths charged in Woodbridge robbery

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 21 at 6:13PM, officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that a 28-year-old man was involved in a verbal altercation with an acquaintance, identified as Ashley Dominique NEAL, which escalated. During the encounter, both the victim and Ms. Neal assaulted each other before the parties eventually separated. Ms. Neal then notified another family member, Martin William NEAL, who retrieved a baseball bat and confronted the victim. During the second encounter, Mr. Neal assaulted the victim before the victim was eventually able to push Mr. Neal to the ground and a struggle ensued. Witnesses separated the parties, and police were contacted. Following the investigation, Martin and Ashley NEAL were arrested without incident. Minor injuries were reported.

Stabbing Investigation – On October 18 at 9:22PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of Nutmeg Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located the victim, identified as a 46-year-old woman, suffering from multiple, non-life threatening stab wounds to her back and an arm.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries. Further investigation revealed that the victim met with two acquaintances, identified as Tracy Patrice ROBINSON and a 17-year-old female, concerning an ongoing feud. During encounter, a physical altercation broke out, and the victim was stabbed. The suspects fled the residence, and police were contacted. Following the investigation, officers obtained charges for the arrest of both suspects who eventually responded to the Charlie T. Deane Station on October 19 and were arrested without incident.

Strong-Armed Robbery – On October 18 at 5:48PM, officers responded to the area of Featherstone Rd and Blackburn Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, an 18-year-old male, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by four acquaintances. During the encounter, one of the suspects began to argue with the victim. At some point, the suspects began to assault the victim. During the assault, one of the suspects rummaged through the victim’s pockets and took his cell phone. The parties eventually separated, and the suspects fled the area in a vehicle. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, all four of the suspects involved were subsequently located and charged by detectives with the Robbery Unit.
