Man charged with making threats to set fire to a Manassas business

Threats to Burn – On June 20 at 2:08AM, Prince William County Police officers began an investigation regarding threatening statements made to set fire to the Family Dollar located at 10300 Portsmouth Rd in Manassas.

According to the police report, the incident was originally reported to the Manassas City Police Department and then was turned over to the County police due to the location.

The investigation revealed the accused made multiple threatening statements to employees indicating he would set fire to the business. The threats were made multiple times of the past few days, said Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman.

Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused, identified as Mark HALLOWAY Jr. The accused was located and arrested without incident later that evening.

Mark HALLOWAY Jr., 30, of no fixed address
Charged with threats to burn
Court Date: September 5, 2018 | Bond: $5,000 secured
