Man attacked with flaming log in Woodbridge, in hospital; suspect charged
On Sunday, April 5, 2020,during the early morning hours, the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated an incident of Malicious Wounding by fire that occurred in the 1300 block of East Longview Drive in Woodbridge, according to a news release from Prince William County Fire & Rescue.
The investigation revealed the suspect, Mr. Carlos Pena, attacked the victim using a flaming log, which knocked the victim into the fire causing burns to his face, neck, shoulder, back, and forearms. The victim is expected to survive his injuries.
The suspect was also treated for his injuries and released. Mr. Pena was arrested and subsequently charged.

Carlos PENA, 19, at 14785 Candlewood Court in Woodbridge, VA.
Charged with:
• §18.2-51.2 – Aggravated Malicious Wounding
• §18.2-52 – Malicious Bodily injury by means of fire
