Prince William County VA arrest report released on Tuesday, February 10, 2015
**ARRESTS**
Strong Armed Robbery – On February 9th at 6:45PM, officers responded to the 12400 block of Eden Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the incident, the accused attempted to forcibly grab the victim’s phone from her hands which led to a struggle. The accused was eventually able to obtain the phone before getting into a vehicle and leaving the area. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused who was subsequently arrested at the Prince William County Courthouse when he showed up for proceedings on an unrelated case this morning.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On February 8th at 9:08PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a sexual assault. The victim, a 12 year old girl of Triangle, reported to police that she observed a man standing near the rear sliding glass door of her apartment. The victim stated that she left the residence and went to a nearby friend’s apartment for help. Both parties checked the immediate area and did not locate the man. The victim then went back to her apartment without her friend. A short time later, the same man came back to the victim’s apartment and opened the rear sliding glass door which was unlocked. The victim told the man to leave and was inappropriately touched by the suspect. The victim immediately closed the door and the suspect walked away. The victim recognized the man as someone who lived in the same apartment complex. Officers quickly located the man and identified him as the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation | Abduction – On February 8th at 9:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Philena St in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic incident. The victim, a 47 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal argument which escalated. During the encounter, the accused choked the victim and prevented her from leaving the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused with arrested without further incident.

Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 8th at 2:22AM, a Prince William County police officer was on routine patrol in the area of Centreville Rd near Browns Ln in Manassas (20111) when the officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic offense. The driver ignored the officer’s attempts and fled. The driver turned onto Leland Rd and made several evasive maneuvers before getting back onto Centreville Rd. At one point, the driver pulled into the Maplewood Plaza at a high rate of speed, narrowly missing patrons as they were leaving a local establishment. The driver went back onto Centreville Rd, almost striking a police cruiser. The driver hit the median, flattening two of his tires before continuing into the City of Manassas Park. The driver then pulled into the Manassas Park Shopping Plaza, nearly striking a Manassas Park police cruiser, and accelerated through the parking lot. Officers from both jurisdictions cornered the vehicle, at which point, the driver accelerated and crashed head-on into a Manassas Park police K-9 officer’s vehicle. As a result of the collision, both vehicles became attached and the driver made several attempts to detach his vehicle from the police cruiser and flee but was unsuccessful. Officers were able to open the driver’s side door and attempted to remove the driver which led to a struggle. Following a brief altercation, the driver, later identified as the accused, was removed and detained. During the struggle, the accused spat blood on one of the Prince William County officers. The Manassas Park officer and K-9 were not injured as a result of the crash. Officers determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol during the incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged.

Charged by Prince William Police with assault & battery on a LEO, felony eluding, driving under the influence – 3rd offense in 10yrs, driving on a revoked license, resisting arrest and unreasonable refusal
Charged by Manassas Park Police with attempted malicious wounding of a LEO and destruction of property
Court date: March 20, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
