Man arrested in April 16 abduction and assault and battery case involving baby

Abduction | Assault & Battery *ARREST – On April 26, Luis Amilcar AYALA, wanted for an assault which occurred in the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) on April 16, was located and arrested without incident.

Abduction | Assault & Battery [Previously Released] – On April 16 at 5:08AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Community Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 25-year-old woman of Maryland, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of the residence. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a baby carrier from the victim and pushed her to the ground. The baby carrier held the victim’s 6-month-old child. Once the accused had the baby carrier, he proceeded inside the residence. The victim followed the accused and was able to get the baby carrier away from him. The victim then left the residence and contacted police. The accused fled the area on foot prior to police arriving at the home. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Luis Amilcar AYALA. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
