Man, 80, charged with aggravated sexual battery involving juvenile

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On August 13, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau began an investigation into an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in Woodbridge (22192) earlier that morning. The investigation revealed the victim, a juvenile girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member. The victim disclosed the assault to another family member who immediately contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alfredo Amadeo BOUTIER ESCOBAR, was arrested.

Burglary | Strangulation | Domestic Related – On August 11 at 9:45PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1500 block of Monroe Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress.  The investigation revealed that the accused, an acquaintance, broke into the apartment of the victim, a 31-year-old woman of Woodbridge. The victim was able to flee to a bedroom and lock the door before contacting police. When officers arrived, the front door was locked and no one would answer the door. Officers breached the front door and located the accused still inside then detained him without incident. Further investigation revealed that the accused was also involved in a physical altercation with the victim on August 4. During that encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at some point, choked her. The parties eventually separated and the police were not contacted at the time.  Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with strangulation, burglary with intent to commit assault, and domestic assault & battery

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) – On August 11 at 9:38AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic.  When officers arrived, they made contact with a woman who stated she was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a family member. At some point, the parties separated and the accused left the apartment. As officers were speaking with the woman, they observed the accused standing outside by a police cruiser. When officers made contact with the accused, he became disorderly. As officer were attempting to detain him, the accused struck an officer in the hand and attempted to pull away. The accused was eventually detained without further incident and transported to the Adult Detention Center. No injuries were reported.
