Malicious wounding suspect turns himself into PWC Police

Aggravated Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On June 15th, the suspect involved in the aggravated malicious wounding incident which occurred on June 12th at a residence in the 1700 block of Pine Shadows Way in Woodbridge, turned himself into police without further incident.
Arrested on June 15th:
Joseph Cantrell LEE, 32, of the 1700 block of Pine Shadows Way in Woodbridge
Charged with aggravated malicious wounding, strangulation, abduction, and domestic assault & battery

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Strangulation [Previously Released] – On June 12th at 9:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Pine Shadows Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. At one point, the accused stuffed toilet paper into the victim’s mouth. The victim was eventually able to leave the home and contact police. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding | Armed Robbery – On June 15th at 7:27PM, officers responded to the 13800 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was walking in the area above when she encountered an unknown man. During the encounter, the man assaulted the victim and demanded money. The man took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing the area on foot. The victim was cut in the arm by a sharp object during the assault and was treated at an area hospital. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Hispanic male, between 28 & 33 years of age, 5’8”, 165lbs with a thin build, medium complexion, and black hair
Last seen wearing light gray hooded sweatshirt, pants, and aviator glasses

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 15th at 12:13AM, officers responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Haversack Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a large party complaint. As officers were dispersing the group, several gunshots were heard in the area. Officers checked the area and located multiple shell casings laying in the road on Haversack Ln. No shooter was located and no injuries or property damage were reported. 

Indecent Exposure – On June 15th at 12:32AM, officers responded to the Old Hickory Golf Club located at 11921 Chanceford Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 22 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was an employee of the golf club and was cleaning up after a reception when she encountered an unknown man. During the encounter, the man exposed himself to the victim. The victim went to notify her supervisor and the man left the area. No physical contact was reported.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 25 & 35 years of age, 6’0”, 250lbs with a heavy build, black shaggy hair, and facial hair
Last seen wearing a bright colored sweatshirt and no pants

**ARRESTS**

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 15th at 5:27PM, officers responded to the 14500 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was with the three juvenile acquaintances in the area above when one of the juveniles demanded the victim’s iPod. When the victim refused, one of the juveniles reached into his pocket and removed it. When the victim attempted to get the iPod back, another juvenile assaulted him before all three fled on foot. The victim was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to locate all three suspects. Following the investigation, all three juveniles were arrested.

A 17 year old male juvenile, a 15 year old male juvenile, & a 14 year old male juvenile – all of Woodbridge
All three juveniles were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony

Felony Child Neglect – On June 13th at 2:45PM, officers responded to the 4300 block of Kentland Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a found a child. A caller reported to police that a 3 year old boy was found on their front lawn unsupervised. Officers were able to determine that the child lived a residence on the same street. Contact was made at the residence but no one was home. The investigation revealed that the accused, a known acquaintance, left the child at the home unattended. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The child was released to another family member.

Jose Everardo SHUL SALAZAR, 40, of the 4300 block of Kentland Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with felony child neglect

Narcotics Investigation – On June 14th at 3:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Kentmore Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a possible marijuana grow operation. Officers made contact at the residence and located several marijuana plants in the backyard of the property. Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence. As a result of the search, 27 marijuana plants and evidence of distribution were recovered. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on June 14th:
Ronald Lamar HOWELL, 44, of 1635 6th St NW in Washington D.C.
Charged with manufacturing marijuana
