Machete may have been involved in brandishing incident

**INCIDENTS**

Brandishing a Weapon – On April 2nd at 5:20PM, police responded to the 19000 block of Red Oak Ln in Triangle (22172) for a brandishing. The victim, a 32 year old woman of Triangle, reported to police that the she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.

During the encounter, the accused allegedly retrieved a machete and approached the victim in the threatening manner. The accused never raised the machete towards the victim. A neighbor witnessed the encounter and approached the victim and accused.

After exchanging words, the accused left the area. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, a warrant was obtained against the accused.

Described as a white female, 5’5”, 128lbs, thin build with brown hair and brown eyes
Wanted for brandishing a machete

Residential Burglary – On April 2nd at 4:29PM, police responded to the 3600 block of Jurgensen Dr in Triangle (22172) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 4:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A laptop, Kindle, and gaming console, valued around $2,000, were reported missing.
