LOCCA’s Feb. 23 meeting cancelled out of respect for Michele McQuigg

The Feb. 23 meeting of the Lake Ridge Occoquan Communities Civic Association (LOCCA)  has been cancelled, according to Tom Burrell.

“We have been informed that services for Michelle McQuigg will be held Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday’s Memorial and Visitation services will be held at the Miller Funeral home from 5:00-8:00pm. The Miller Funeral Home is located at 3200 Golansky Boulevard, Woodbridge, VA.

“Thursday’s funeral service will be held at 7:00pm at All Saints Church located at 14851 Gideon Drive, Woodbridge, VA. 

“We all hope that you will join us to celebrate Michele’s life of public service as a member of LOCCA for many, many years; as the Occoquan Supervisor before becoming our representative in the Virginia House of Delegates; and finally at the Clerk of Court.  Michelle was always concerned about us and worked continually, regardless of her position, to better our quality of life,” Burrell said in a news release.

Those projects scheduled for discussion at the Feb. 23 LOCCA meeting will be deferred to the group’s March 23 meeting or, if need be, to a special meeting, Burrell added.
