Host families are still needed for a group of French students (mostly boys) who will be spending three weeks in the area in August.
The students are anxiously awaiting the chance to become part of an American family and already have their tickets.
However, if host families are not found in the next few days, the students will not be able to realize their dream to experience the “American Way of Life.”
LEC (Loisirs Culturels A IÕEtranger) is a Paris based organization that promotes international friendship via family homestays.
Host families provide room, board and friendship and are compensated $100 per week.
The students range in age from 14 to 19 yeas; they all speak English; are fully insured, bring their own spending money and may accompany their hosts on vacation.
Interested families should contact Louise Lamy at 703 392-6234 or go to http://www.lec-usa.com.
One group is currently in the area, visiting with local families, Lamy said.
