Lake Ridge residents hear shots; three homes and a mailbox hit
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On November 16 at 6:23AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 4800 block of Cavallo Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a destruction of property.
The investigation revealed that sometime between 10:30PM and 11:00PM on November 15, shots were fired in the area of 4900 block of Chaste Tree Pl where officers located shell casings. As a result of the shooting, a home on Chaste Pl and a second home on Cavallo Way were struck.
A third home on Cavallo Way reported an exterior garage light was hit. Officers located a community mailbox which was also struck during the incident.
No injuries were reported. A shots fired call was received on November 15 at approximately 11:30PM. At that time, nothing was located, and no damage had been reported. The shooting appears random and there’s no indication the property struck were targeted. The investigation continues, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman,
