The KENA Highlanders of the KENA Shrine will be holding their second annual Feztastic Finds Craft Show & Sale on Nov. 4, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the KENA Shrine, 9500 Technology Drive, Manassas.
Along with the craft show there will be a static display of one of the KENA 500 cars. These are the little orange corvettes you may have seen in area parades. Members of the Highlander unit will also be on hand to dispense information about the Shriners’ organization.
Shriner International is the Shriners’ fraternal organization. Founded in 1872, the fraternity is based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth, according to a KEBA Highlanders’ news release. With nearly 200 temples (chapters) in 40 countries, and thousands of clubs around the world, members are deeply committed to the organization’s philanthropy, Shriners Children’s.
The KENA Shrine not only raises money for the hospitals but its Shepard’s Unit provides transportation to and from the nearest Shriners’ Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia for children in the Northern Virginia area who may not otherwise be able to get to the hospital for their necessary appointments. There will be members of the Shepard’s Unit on hand the day of the craft show to meet members of the community and answer questions.
