K-9 used to search for suspect in Woodbridge robbery

**ARRESTS**
Strong-Armed Robbery – On August 16 at 6:45PM, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Bakersfield St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face and took his cell phone before fleeing the residence on foot.

A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not immediately located. The accused was eventually located in the area of Forestdale Ave and Fairview Ln where he was detained without further incident.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Deshawn Terrell MARTIN, was arrested. Officers also determined the accused was wanted out of another jurisdiction in Virginia on an unrelated charge.
