Felony Hit & Run | Felony Eluding | Wanted Suspect – On September 26 at 5:19PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the 2100 block of Mountain Rd in Haymarket (20169) to investigate an initial report of shots fired, according to Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman, The caller reported to police that the accused had fired a weapon while driving away from a home in the above area, Perok said.
The county police spokesman said a description of the vehicle was provided, and officers also learned the accused was actively being sought in connection to a shooting incident that occurred in the City of Manassas earlier in the day.
County officers located the accused in the parking lot of Merchants View Square and attempted to take him into custody, Perok said. Then the accused man drove away from officers onto James Madison Hwy where he struck two occupied vehicles traveling the opposite direction and a mailbox. The vehicle eventually became disabled and the accused fled on foot.
Perok said that a police K-9 was deployed and was able to successfully apprehend the accused. Minor injuries were reported by the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the collisions. During a search, of the vehicle, suspected narcotics and marijuana were recovered. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Warren Leon CORUM, was arrested.
