Jewelry missing in home burglary; strangulation alleged in domestic assault and battery

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On January 15 at 12:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Hillcrest Dr in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 5:30AM on January 12 and 4:00PM on January 14. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been into the residence through an unsecured door. Jewelry was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On January 17 at 1:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16400 block of Regatta Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 31-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal confrontation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly pushed the victim onto the floor then grabbed her throat and choked her. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jaleesa Latrice GREENE, was arrested.

Charged with strangulation and domestic assault & battery
