Incarcerated suspect charged with second burglary on same street in Manassas

Residential Burglary *ARREST – On August 16, officers obtained additional information that led to the identity of the suspect sought in connection with the burglary that occurred at a residence located in the 8100 block of Peakwood Ct. in Manassas on August 7. Following the investigation, the suspect identified as Joshua Lee RICHARDS, was charged. The accused was already in incarcerated after being previously arrested on August 14 in connection with a separate burglary that occurred on the same street.

Residential Burglary [Previously Released]– On August 8 at 12:30AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 8100 block of Peakwood Ct. in Manassas (20111) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 3:00AM and 11:30PM on August 7. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the apartment through an unsecured window. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

​Residential Burglary –
On August 14 at 11:14PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4800 block of Saltwater Dr. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 5:30PM and 8:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made through the unsecured front door. A bank card and a firearm were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On August 9 at 6:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Caribbean Ct. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:00PM on August 8 and 5:45PM on August 9. The investigation revealed entry was made through a basement window which was found damaged. The home had been rummaged through and clothing was reported missing.
