Incidents and arrests released by Prince William County VA Police Department on Thursday, April 16, 2015
**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery – On April 15th at 11:02PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 14400 block of Westminster Ln in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 52 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was delivering a pizza to an address in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took money and the pizzas from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.
Suspect Descriptions:
Both suspects were described as black males, between 18 & 25 years of age, 5’6”-5’8” with a medium builds, dark complexions and black hair
1st suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans
2nd suspect was last seen wearing a red jacket and blue jeans [armed suspect]
Malicious Wounding – On April 16th at 1:54AM, officers responded to the area of Kilmer Ln and Graham Park Rd in Triangle (22172) to investigate a fight involving weapons. A caller reported to police that during the fight gunshots were heard. The parties reportedly involved in the fight dispersed prior to police arriving in the area. A police K-9 was used to search for possible suspects after evidence of shooting were discovered by officers at the scene. Shortly before 3:30AM, a victim, identified as a 26 year old man of Woodbridge, arrived at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. Hospital staff immediately notified police and detectives determined that the victim was in the area of Kilmer Ln during the earlier fight. The gunshot wound sustained by the victim was non-life threatening. The investigation continues. This incident does not appear to be random.
Armed Robbery | Residential Burglary – On April 16th at 1:31AM, officers responded to investigate a burglary and robbery which was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 12300 block of Midsummer Ln in Woodbridge (22192) around 9:00PM on April 15th. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that three unknown men forcibly entered the residence armed with handguns. Once inside the men assaulted the victim and another man before demanding money. The men took a handgun, money and phone from the victim before fleeing the residence. Minor injuries were reported. The investigation continues. This incident does not appear to be random.
Residential Burglary – On April 15th at 1:18AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18900 block of Miata Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM and 1:00PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through the front door which was forced open. Three firearms, electronics and other property were reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 14th at 7:00PM, a Prince William County police officer was at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located at 2300 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) on an unrelated matter when the officer observed a man strike a hospital staff member. During the encounter, the officer intervened to prevent a further altercation which led to a struggle. The man was eventually taken in custody and was identified as the accused. While in custody, the accused spat on the officer. No injuries were reported. Following the incident, the accused was arrested.
