Home unsafe to occupy after fire, PWC fire marshal says
This morning, Aug. 19, 2022 fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 16300 blk of Topsail Lane for a reported house fire. Crews arrived with heavy fire and smoke showing from the garage. The fire was extending into the home when fire suppression operations began.
The home sustained significant damage. No injuries were reported. The Building Official declared the home was unsafe to occupy. The American Red Cross assisted the 1 adult and 1 child left displaced. The Fire Marshal’s Office has yet to determine the cause of the fire, said Fire Marshal Matt Smolsky.
