Henderson Elementary receives Dominion grant for professional development in STEM subjects

Henderson Elementary School has been selected as a recipient of the Dominion K-12 Educational Partnership grant.
On behalf of Dominion and the Dominion Foundation, Henderson received $1000 for STEM kits from the Museum of Science program, “Engineering is Elementary.”
The kits will be used by teachers for professional development.
Colleen Kendrick, gifted resource specialist at Henderson, wrote the grant proposal.

Manassas Council names Steve Burke as new Manassas City Manager
Steve Burke, an Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works for the City of Manassas, has been named City Manager by Manassas City Council effective February. 3, 2025. Interim City Manager Douglas Keen will return to his post as Police Chief and an Assistant City Manager.
