Haymarket Regional Food Pantry reports it will be open for food distribution on a drive-thru basis through Saturday, April 4, and then will close temporarily.
“To adhere to social distancing guidelines, HRFP has moved its food distribution operations outside and is requesting that “clients remain in their cars as volunteers deliver pre-selected bags of groceries into open trunks or back seats,” a news release said.
With mounting volunteer cancellations due to COVID-19 concerns, leaders of the food collection and distribution organization report that they have “decided to temporarily close the pantry effective April 5.” According to the news release, “We will keep you posted (via email, facebook, and website updates) on when we will reopen.”
