Haymarket homeowner locates bullet in window frame

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On January 22 at 4:49PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4500 block of Dodds Mill Dr in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that a loud noise was heard on January 19 around 11:00PM. The following day, the homeowner located a bullet lodged in a window frame on the exterior of the home. During a canvass of the area, several neighbors reported to police that several gun shots were heard coming from a wooded area near the home sometime over the weekend. No injuries or other property damage were reported. 

Residential Burglary – On January 22 at 12:52PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 12:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A window and a rear, sliding glass door were found open. Jewelry, money, and a computer tablet were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On January 22 at 9:45AM, officers responded to a new home construction site located in the 8500 block of Craggan Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that sometime between 10:00AM on January 16 and 10:00AM on January 17, two bathtubs were taken from two homes still under construction. There were no signs of forced entry into the home.
