Gun reports keep PW police busy

Shooting Investigation – On Sunday, Aug. 8 at 3:30AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a shooting that was reported to have occurred in the parking lot of the Marumsco Plz located in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that evening.

The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as a 21-year-old man, and two other acquaintances were at The Palace located in the above area when they observed a fight in the parking lot at approximately 2:30AM. During the fight, shots were fired, and the victim was struck in the leg.

The victim’s acquaintances drove him to an area hospital where police were contacted. Officers checked the parking lot and located a shell casing near the entrance to the lot. Security at the establishment reported that gunshots were heard around closing. Police were not contacted at that time.

The victim was reportedly not involved in the altercation. No suspect descriptions were provided to police of those involved in the fight.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 5:40PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 block of Lindy Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a fight with weapons.

The investigation revealed that the homeowner, identified as the accused, was involved in a verbal altercation with two men he hired to perform work at the residence. At one point, the accused entered his residence where he retrieved a firearm before going back outside and firing a round into the air. The accused then reentered the home and contacted police to report a fight.

Officers located a shell casing at the scene. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jatinderpal Singh AUJLA, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 7 at 9:02AM, officers responded to the 12200 block of Purcell Rd in Manassas (20112) for a report of found shell casings. The caller reported to police that gunshots were heard around 3:05AM.

Police were called at the time for a report of shots fired in the area of Fern Oak Ct and Falling Creek Dr. No evidence of a shooting was located at that time. Later that morning, the caller located shell casings in the street. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Thursday, Aug. 5 at 1:55PM, officers responded to Cloverdale Community Park located at 15150 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call.

When officers arrived at the park, no individuals were located. A short time later, a man, later identified as the accused, arrived at the Gar-Field Police Station to report his involvement in the incident.

The accused reported to police that he recently purchased a handgun and fired a round into the ground to test the weapon. The accused was in a woodline within the park and adjacent to a residential neighborhood when the weapon was fired. No injuries or property damage were reported.

The accused left the park prior to police arriving in the area. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Derek Kofi ANNAN, was arrested.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – Officers identified the suspect sought in connection to the shots fired call that was reported to have occurred at the 90 Degrees Sports Bar located at 8509 Rixlew Ln. in Manassas (20109) on June 27. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Raul DELEON. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5’9”, 230lbs with black hair and brown eyes
Charged with reckless handling of a firearm

Shooting Investigation [Previously Released] – On June 27 at 2:17AM, officers responded to the 90 Degrees Sports Bar located at 8509 Rixlew Ln. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that two patrons were escorted out of the business by security personnel. While in the parking lot a verbal altercation ensued before the patrons got into their black Dodge Ram 2500. As the truck was leaving the parking lot, the suspect in the passenger seat brandished a firearm and began shooting towards the business. The security officer retrieved his firearm and returned fire towards the truck. No injuries were reported. While investigating, officers observed multiple holes in the side of the business and collected shell casings from the parking lot.
