Governor’s School@Innovation Park in your future? Two info sessions slated

High school sophomores and their parents are invited to attend an information session to learn more about the Governor’s School @ Innovation Park on Nov. 5 or Dec. 3. The Governor’s School @ Innovation Park offers juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn high school and college credit through dual enrollment.

Mornings are spent on the Science & Technology campus of George Mason University in Prince William County where students explore STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Students return to their base schools in the afternoon for additional classes, and to continue in their social and extracurricular activities.

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) is a full day four-year regional Governor’s School located in Fairfax County. Residents of Prince William County are eligible to attend. Online and paper applications for admission to the TJHSST for the class of 2016–17 winter round must be submitted by this Friday, Oct. 14. Students interested in applying should contact their school counselor.
