Gold award for PWC Parks & Rec aquatics safety program

Prince William County Department of Parks & Recreation’s aquatics program has been awarded the 2012 Gold International Aquatic Safety Award, from Jeff Ellis & Associates, Inc., according to a news release.

The prestigeous award recognizes those member organizations who have exceeded industry standards in risk management and provide its patrons with superior safety service.

Tracy Hannigan, Recreation Services Director,, was quoted in the news release as saying, “We are honored to receive the Gold Award for professional excellence in aquatics from Ellis & Associates, for the second year in a row.  Our Elite aquatics team have a passion of ensuring citizens have the highest level of aquatic safety while they enjoy our pools and waterparks. This is a testament to their committment to our training program and service levels.”
