**INCIDENTS**
Malicious Wounding | Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 6th at 5:11PM, police responded to investigate a shooting which was reported to have occurred at George Hellwig Memorial Park located at 14418 Bristow Rd in Manassas (20112). The victim, a 43 year old woman of Gainesville, reported to police that she was sitting in a chair watching her child’s soccer game, when she felt a sharp pain to her right thigh. At that time, the victim reportedly believed she was struck with a BB or other type projectile. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment. Once at the hospital, it was determined that she was actually struck with a small caliber bullet, possibly a .22 round. No gunshot was ever heard and no one at the game reported seeing anyone with a weapon. The victim’s injury was no-life threatening. The investigation continues.
Armed Robbery – On October 6th at 3:02AM, police responded to the 3300 block of Noble Pond Way in Woodbridge (22192) for a robbery. The victim, a 41 year old man of Fort Washington, MD, reported to police that he was in the area above loading his vehicle with newspapers for delivery, when he was approached by an unknown man. The man displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 25 & 30 years of age, 5’7”, 145lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants, and black ski mask
Attempted Armed Robbery – On October 7th at 3:06AM, police responded to the 14900 block of Feeder Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 39 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was cab driver and was in the area above to pick up a fare. Once there, an unknown man got into the backseat, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. During the encounter, the man struck the victim to his head several times before fleeing the area on foot. No money was taken and minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 18 & 25 years of age, 6’2”, 180lbs with a thin build, dark complexion, short black hair, and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans, carrying a dark colored backpack
Residential Burglary – On October 4th at 2:38PM, police responded to a residence located in the 1300 block of East Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00PM and 1:30PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A laptop, gaming console, and cell phone, total value around $1,100, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On October 4th at 1:07PM, police responded to a residence located in the 15700 block of Palmer Ln in Haymarket (20169) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 1:00PM. Entry was made into the home through the front door which was forced open. Jewelry and a camera, total value around $2,100, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On October 4th at 10:57AM, police responded to a vacant residence in the 14400 block of Yellow Tavern Ct in Haymarket (20169) for a burglary. The property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM on September 25th and 8:00AM on October 4th. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. A dishwasher, valued around $600, was reported missing.
Commercial Burglary – On October 4th at 3:37AM, police responded to the Verizon Wireless store located at 9967 Sowder Village Sq in Manassas (20109) for an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass doors were broken out. Multiple phones, accessories, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On October 3rd at 7:38PM, police responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Ensbrook Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM on September 26th and 8:00AM on October 2nd. Entry was made into the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found damaged. No property was reported missing.
**ARRESTS**
Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer – On October 6th at 9:31PM, police responded to the 4800 block of Tobacco Way in Woodbridge (22193) for a subject with a gun call. The caller reported to police that her neighbor, identified as the accused, shot out one of her driveway lights with a handgun. When confronted by the neighbor, the accused stated that he was a special agent with a federal agency. Officers arrived and located the accused who was determined to not be a special agent and had no affiliation with any law enforcement agency. Following the investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested. No injuries were reported.

Charged with reckless handling of a firearm, impersonating of a law enforcement officer, and carrying a concealed weapon
