Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is offering several short-term certificate programs in information technology that may be eligible for funding depending on family income.
The courses start in September and end by December. Certificate programs include Java Programming and Database Administrator. Certification preparation courses are available in CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and Certified Information Systems Auditor.
The courses are part of NOVA’s Credentials to Careers program which is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The program provides training, counseling, internships and job placement assistance to help laid-off and low-income workers get into high-demand IT careers.
