**INCIDENTS**
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 4 at 11:31PM, officers responded to the 5400 block of Loggerhead Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a possible fireworks violation. The caller reported to police that a loud noise was heard in the above area. A short time later, a bullet hole was discovered by a homeowner in the roof of his residence. Officers checked the area and did not locate any shell casings. No injuries or other property damage were reported.
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 4 at 2:38AM, officers responded to the 13500 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed that the accused sent several threatening text messages to the victim, identified as a 25-year-old woman of Triangle, earlier that morning. While the victim was attending a party at a residence in the above area, the accused appeared and was confronted by the victim and multiple people from the party. During the encounter, the accused brandished a firearm and fired one round into the air before fleeing the area in a vehicle. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Michael Jerel GARRIS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

**ARRESTS**
Sexual Assault Investigation – On June 15, detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred on June 10 at a home in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 5-year-old boy, was inappropriately touched by the accused, identified as a family member. The victim disclosed the incident to a school teacher who contacted Child Protective Services. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Malicious Wounding – On July 4 at 1:21AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 200 block of Commerce St in the Town of Occoquan (22125) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30-year-old woman of Occoquan, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim causing serious, non-life threatening injuries. At some point, the parties separated and the police were contacted. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Attempted Armed Robbery | Attempted Malicious Wounding – On July 4 at 5:35PM, officers responded to the Global Foods located at 10320 Festival Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate an armed robbery. An employee reported to police that he was outside behind the business when he was approached by an unknown man and woman. During the encounter, the man displayed a knife and demanded money. When the victim refused, the man lunged at the victim with the knife. The victim was able to dodge the knife then run away and contact police. No injuries were reported. Upon further investigation, officers were able to identify both the suspects as Taron Desean STINEY and Kayla ELLER. A short time later, STINEY and ELLER were located in the homeless camp behind 8025 Sudley Rd and arrested without incident.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On July 4 at 11:18PM, officers responded to the Dominion Middle Ridge Apartments located at 3685 Meandering Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shooting. The caller reported to police that a loud noise was heard in the above apartment. A short time later, a bullet hole was discovered by the caller in the ceiling of his apartment. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused allegedly inadvertently discharged a round that traveled through the floor and entered the apartment below. The accused then left the apartment and placed the firearm in a vehicle before returning to the apartment prior to officers making contact. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The handgun was recovered from the vehicle.

Indecent Exposure – On July 4 at 6:29PM, officers responded to the Panera located at 4240 Merchant Plaza in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an indecent exposure. A citizen reported to police that an unknown man was sitting in the patio area at the above location. As the citizens were walking by, the accused exposed himself and made an obscene gesture. Upon further investigation, officers located and identified the suspect as the accused then arrested him without incident.
