Five juveniles in custody after stolen vehicle crashes into occupied house

Felony Eluding | Stolen Vehicle | Hit & Run – On February 18th at 12:32AM, police responded to the Molinari Emergency Shelter Home (MESH) located at 8642 Wellington Rd in Manassas (20110) for a missing juvenile report. Staff reported to police that five juveniles (four females and one male) had walked out of the facility.

During the course of the evening, the juveniles stole a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado from an address on Reynolds Pl in Manassas City.

The juveniles returned to the area of Williamstown in Dumfries where one of the female juveniles left the group.

This morning, at 7:42AM, multiple calls were received about a vehicle, matching the description of the truck, being driven in a reckless manner on Kilpatrick Pl in Dumfries. The vehicle had reportedly struck an unoccupied vehicle on the street and fled the area.

An on-duty Prince William County Sheriff’s deputy located the vehicle just after 8:00AM on Jefferson Davis Hwy approaching Cardinal Dr. The deputy attempted a traffic stop and the driver ignored the deputy’s emergency equipment and fled.

The vehicle made a left onto Cardinal Dr and continued to Choate Ct where the driver lost control and drove into a single family home. All four occupants fled the vehicle but were apprehended a short time later.

There were four occupants inside the residence at the time of the crash. Responding officers acted quickly to remove the residents from the home. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross has been called to assist with the displaced family.

Officers have also since located the fifth juvenile who was not involved in the crash. All five juveniles are being interviewed at this time and charges are forthcoming. The investigation continues.
