Fire destroys Harvey Road home in Manassas on Jan. 10

Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 6900 block of Harvey Road in Manassas at 8:28 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, after the emergency call center received multiple reports of a house on fire.

According to Matthew Smolsky, Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal, crews arriving on the scene found a single-family dwelling fully involved in flames. After battling weather conditions, the fire was brought under control and extinguished. The home was destroyed, Smolsky said.

The fire official said there were no injuries but four adults were displaced and were assisted by the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
