Fight breaks out at Ashton & Rixlew in Manassas

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On February 15 at 3:54PM, Prince William County officers responded to the area of Rixlew Ln and Ashton Ave in Manassas (20109) to investigate a fight.

Multiple victims reported to police that the accused was involved in a verbal altercation that escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused struck the victims multiple times with his fist. At some point, the accused retrieved a knife and threw it towards one of the victims.

The knife struck the victim’s backpack causing no injuries. Officers arrived and detained the accused after a brief foot pursuit. The accused was subsequently transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused, identified as Lucian Andrea CASSIDY, who remains hospitalized.

Abduction | Domestic Related – On February 15 at 9:15AM, a detective with the Violent Crimes Bureau responded to investigate an assault which occurred in the 2800 block of Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge (22193) on February 14 at 11:45PM. 

The victim, a 29-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused forced the victim into a vehicle and drove away. At some point, the accused physically assaulted her. The victim was eventually able to get out of the vehicle when it came to a stop. The accused then fled the area. The victim later responded to a local hospital with minor injuries and police were contacted. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained for the arrest of the accused, identified as Mario Dantoni BASS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On February 18 at 8:15PM, officers responded to the area of Darbydale Ave and Delta Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that he heard a loud crash and then gunshots. The caller further observed an unknown person get into a dark colored SUV and flee the area at a high rate of speed. No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the gunshot. Officers searched the area and located one shell casing in the roadway.
