Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021 at 8:25PM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Otis Ct. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a domestic, according to a report filed by Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 49-year-old man, was outside of the residence when a family member, identified as the accused, drove his vehicle onto the property. The victim was able to move out of the way to avoid being struck by the vehicle, MPO Carr said.
A verbal altercation continued between the two parties as they entered the home. The accused initially fled the residence prior to police arriving at the home, and later returned where officers took him into custody without incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
After being released, the accused returned to the residence, where he and the victim engaged in an additional altercation. During the altercation, the accused threw knives at the victim, grazing him. Eventually, a family member intervened and separated the two parties. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the additional investigation, the accused, identified as John Patrick BISH, was arrested.
