Felony cruelty and injury to a child charged in Woodbridge case

Felony Cruelty and Injury to a Child – On July 2nd, detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cir in Woodbridge (22191), according to Officer Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman.

The victim, a 14 year old female juvenile, reported to police that she was assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance. During the encounter, the accused used her hands and a belt to strike the victim to her face, hands, back, arms, and legs. The victim sustained significant injuries, according to the police report. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
