Fauquier Sheriff’s Department investigating property damage at Hunter Ritchie School
The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating several reports of property damage in the Broad Run Church Road, Riley Road and Lake Drive area of Fauquier County. These incidents occurred overnight Monday, February 9th to Tuesday, February 10th.
One reported incident involved damage to windows at C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary School. It does not appear the school was specifically targeted at this time as there are other similar incidents in the immediate vicinity.
A projectile consistent with a pellet has been recovered and these incidents are under active investigation.
Anyone with similar damage to property is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
