A survey is now underway regarding middle school modernization in Fauquier County, specifically how to renovate and/or replace Taylor and Warrenton Middle Schools. The survey on the school division’s website will remain open through Wednesday, Nov. 16, and may be accessed at this link: https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=147878344917.
FCPS recognizes the need to modernize its two oldest schools – Taylor and Warrenton Middle Schools – and an advisory committee is leading this modernization planning process.
The committee is charged with recommending which of these two schools should be the first one modernized and then proposing a design for the school that best meets the needs of students, staff and the community.
As part of the process, two Community Dialogues have been held on public middle school facilities in Fauquier County – the first on Sept. 7 and the second on Nov. 9. Upon completion of the process the school division will seek funding for the selected school from the county board of supervisors. See http://www.fcps1.org/msp for additional details.
The survey will help the committee determine the pulse of the community regarding middle school modernization. Community members are encouraged to complete the survey. If you have any questions about this survey, please email
