Fauquier bus routes now posted; bus delays possible first week of school

Bus routes for Fauquier County Public Schools have been posted and are now available on the school division’s website at http://www.fcps1.org/busroutes.

Parents and students are reminded that they may experience slight delays in school bus arrival times especially on the first day of school and throughout the remainder of the week.

While FCPS has been able to hire a sufficient number of drivers to cover all 156 routes for this school year, Fauquier County Public Schools – like many other school divisions – is experiencing a shortage of substitute bus drivers. When unforeseen circumstances result in driver absences, the shortage of substitute drivers may impact the timely arrival of buses.

Parents are encouraged to access the “Late Buses” link on the school division’s website; the transportation department endeavors to update the late bus information as quickly and frequently as possible.
