Fatality at house fire in Nokesville this morning March 15

This morning, March 15, at 5:51 AM, emergency units were dispatched to the 14000 block of Fleetwood Drive in Nokesville for a reported house fire, according to Matt Smolsky. Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal.

A passerby had reported flames visible from the home. On arrival, crews were alerted a single occupant could still be in the home. 

Crews were able to locate and remove the victim from the structure. The adult victim did not survive the fire and was pronounced on the scene. No other injuries were reported. The scene is still active. The cause of the death and fire are under investigation. Further details will be made available, Smolsky said.
