Fatal May 3 crash in Nokesville

On May 3 at 6:08 a.m., police responded to the 13200 block of Aden Road in Nokesville (20181) for a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of 2005 Pontiac GT was traveling westbound on Aden Road in the eastbound lane. As the driver was traveling in the area above, the vehicle crested a hill in the wrong lane and struck the driver of a 1993 GEO Tracker head on, according to the police report. The driver of the Pontiac GT was ground transported to an area hospital with head injuries. The driver of the GEO Tracker was flown to an area trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation further revealed that neither driver was wearing a seatbelt and both drivers were the only occupants of their respective vehicles, according to the report. Speed was factor in this collision and the driver of the Pontiac GT has been charged. The investigation continues.
Charged: Dale Jeffrey Anderson II, 21, of 3 Hickory Lane in Stafford, the driver of the 2005 Pontiac GT, charged with reckless driving. Court date is unavailable.
