Incidents and arrests released on Tuesday, December 22, 2015
**ARRESTS**
Armed Robbery | Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On December 21st at 6:00AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which occurred in the 1300 block of F St in Woodbridge (22191) on December 21st at 12:00AM. The victim, a 31 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he met two known acquaintances in the above area to purchase drugs. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a knife then took the victim’s wallet, money and cell phone before the parties separated. The victim made contact with the suspects who agreed to meet the victim again to return his cell phone. During the second encounter, the victim grabbed his cell phone from the suspects and attempted to flee. The suspects eventually caught the victim and assaulted him. At that point, one of the suspects repeatedly punched the victim in the body as the other suspect cut the victim with a knife. When a friend of the victim attempted to intervene, he was cut in the face by one of the suspects then relieved of his cell phone. The parties eventually separated and the victim responded to a local fire house where he was transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries and police were contacted. The friend of the victim refused treatment. Detectives from the Robbery Unit were able to identify the suspects involved as Ryan SMITH and Tryevon DAVIS. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants against both of the accused. SMITH and DAVIS were eventually located and arrested without incident at a residence on Aldrin St in Woodbridge.

Malicious Wounding | Attempted Carjacking– On December 21st at 9:09AM, officers responded to the McDonalds located at 17340 Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted carjacking. The victim, a 35 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was sitting in the drive-thru when an unknown man got into the passenger seat and told him to drive away. When the victim refused, the accused brandished a knife and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the victim sustained a serious, non-life threatening cut to one of his hands. The accused then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the area on foot. Responding officers located the man a short distance away and detained him. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery *ARREST – On December 21st, Dontay BRYANT turned himself into police without incident at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge. This individual was the wanted in connection to a strangulation, abduction, and domestic assault & battery which occurred in the 11000 block of Edgepark Cir in Manassas on December 15th.

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery [previously released] – On December 15th at 2:21AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 11000 block of Edgepark Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 23 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face. When the victim attempted to flee, the accused pushed the victim back into the apartment and continued to assault her. At one point, the accused pushed the victim to the ground and began to choke her. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police. The accused left the area prior to police arriving. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.
**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery – On December 21st at 8:15PM, officers began to investigate an armed robbery which was reported to have occurred in the area of Oleander Ct and Pearlberry Ct in Woodbridge (22193) around 12:10PM. The victim, a 33 year old man of Springfield, reported to police that he met three unknown men in the above area to purchase an electronic device. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun. The suspects took a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of money before telling the victim to drive away. No injuries were reported. The victim later responded to the Garfield Station in Woodbridge to report the incident. The investigation continues.

Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 160lbs with a thin build and black hair
Last seen wearing a black winter jacket with a green leaf emblem, brown jacket, black shirt, and black pants
Two Black males – No further description provided
Armed Robbery – On December 21st at 6:44PM, officers responded to the Forestdale Plaza located in the 4100 block of Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 43 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she had just parked her vehicle in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the man brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect took the victim’s purse before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.
