Family member arrested in sexual assault case in Woodbridge

Sexual Assault Investigation – On March 10 at 4:20PM, detectives began an investigation concerning an ongoing domestic assault that occurred at a residence located in the 12000 block of Tango Ln in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 31-year-old woman, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member. The accused also took the victim’s phone and personal documents.

Following the investigation, detectives arrested the accused, identified as Assad Ali ASHFAQ, without incident.

Charged with forcible sodomy, abduction, and domestic assault & battery
