Fairfax man arrested for alleged malicious wounding of a family member

Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On January 7, Aaron Sean EMERY was located and arrested in Fairfax. The accused was wanted for a malicious wounding which occurred at a residence located in the 14800 block of Emberdale Dr in Woodbridge on December 30.
Arrested on January 7:
Aaron Sean EMERY, 26, of the 7600 block of Marin Woods Ct in Lorton. 
Charged with 2 counts of malicious wounding, 1 count of cutting during the commission of a felony, and 1 count of threats by electronic means

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On December 30 at 8:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14800 block of Emberdale Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 56-year-old man of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, identified as a family member, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused attempted to cut the victim with a knife. When the accused failed, he grabbed a blunt object and hit the victim on the head causing a laceration. The accused then fled the area and the victim contacted police. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

**INCIDENTS**

Shooting into an Unoccupied Dwelling– On January 6 at 2:00PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1200 Potomac Vista Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a destruction of property. The property manager reported to police that a bullet was found lodged in an interior wall of a vacant apartment. Further investigation revealed that gunshots were heard in the area around 9:00PM on December 29. Officers checked the area at the time but nothing was found. No injuries or other property damage were reported.

Residential Burglary – On January 6 at 11:15AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17600 block of Rose Hill Cir in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between December 26 and 5:20PM on January 5. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a detached shed which was left unlocked. A dirt bike was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 5 at 6:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4300 block of Evergreen Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that on January 4 around 6:00PM, an unknown person attempted entry into the residence through a rear door. When a resident of the home yelled at the person through the door, the suspect fled the area. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing. There is no suspect description available.
