Early morning fatality on VA 234 near Dumfries
Fatal Crash Investigation – On May 15th at 12:17AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Dumfries Rd and Talon Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a two vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2008 Mercedes S550 was traveling northbound on Dumfries Rd in the above area when the vehicle collided head on with the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo who was traveling south in the northbound lanes.
The driver of the Aveo was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this crash. This is the second fatal crash of 2015 in Prince William County.

The driver of the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo was identified as Malcolm Harold MCGUIRE, 19, of Dumfries
The driver of the 2008 Mercedes S550 was identified as a 56 year old man of Chantilly
