Dumfries woman charged with assault and battery on LEO

Assault and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at 2:20AM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to Bar Louie located at 15001 Potomac Town Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight. Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman who was in a verbal altercation with other acquaintances. At some point during the investigation, the woman, later identified as the accused, was determined to be intoxicated. As officers attempted to take her into custody, she actively resisted and refused to follow officer’s commands. Eventually, officers were able to place the accused into custody.

As officers were escorting the accused to a police vehicle, she began to resist again. At one point, she kicked an officer in the upper body before being re-secured and placed inside the police vehicle without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Lindsay Nicole DIAMOND, was arrested.
