Domestic assault and robbery charges in Manassas case

Strong-Arm Robbery (Domestic Related) – On October 23, 2024 at 7:12AM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 7500 block of Roxbury Ave. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 36-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, the accused followed the victim into her residence without her permission and assaulted her before leaving. While investigating the incident, officers also determined the accused scratched the victim the evening prior while taking her phone, keys, and passport and leaving her home.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Juan Carlos PAUCAR CHAVEZ, who was taken into custody by Manassas City police the following morning.
